Umami Sazerac

Overview
The Umami Sazerac is a cocktail from Red Frog in Lisbon. I found the recipe online and have been working to recreate it at home. This is a work in progress and your success may vary.
Ingredients
- 1.5oz (35g) Bulleit Rye
- 1.5oz (35g) Black Sesame Cognac
- 0.5oz Shoyu Caramel
- Several Sprays Absinthe
Instructions
- Generously spray a chilled rocks glass with absinthe.
- Combine the Rye, Black Sesame Cognac, and Shoyu Caramel in a mixing glass with ice.
- Stir until well chilled, approximately 30 seconds.
- Strain into the prepared glass neat.
